Whatever your skills, we need you! Our Volunteers and Mentors come from wide and varied backgrounds and we have a place for YOU. College students and Retirees welcome! Fill out the form below and we will contact you.

Homework Center is no place for spectators. It is a place to enjoy the exciting environment, pour into children and learn, serve and grow! You are welcome to visit us and see it all in action before making a volunteer commitment. There are so many ways to help — shop for food, school and craft supplies, cook our meal, serve and clean up; or work directly with the children by reading to them, or allowing them to read to you. Homework assistance consists of practicing and learning weekly spelling words, breaking down math worksheets, and just generally assisting the children with homework or school projects.

Groups are welcome to bring a prepared meal and serve dinner for a day. This is a great way for a Church, Small Group, Office or Service organization to serve.

Where Can I Serve?

Serve at Homework Center and/or Mentor a child

It is a blessing and life-changing relationship to both Mentor and Child when an intentional relationship is formed for the purpose of showing and bearing witness to love. Many of our children do not have adults in their lives that can model achievement. By mentoring a child you teach them skills to navigate life and support their development emotionally and spiritually.

Media & Technology

We use media and technology to spread the word about the latest news at Homework Center. Are you creative or gifted in this area? Get involved and work with marketing to keep the website, newsletter, and important relationships relevant.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. We are believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. If you are a Prayer Warrior, commit to pray weekly for the children, leadership, volunteers, and any special requests.

Special Events

Can’t serve during the regular work week? Watch our Facebook page for ongoing special events!

College Buddy Pen Pal

If you want to serve but are in a busy season of life as a college student, this is perfect for you! One of our goals is to create as many opportunities for reading and creative writing as possible for the students, while expanding their view of the world. The College Buddy program connects a college student with a child and allows them a peek into a person’s world that is pursuing higher education.
